Cat. #00159822: ETHAN LAIDLAW

Exceptionally rare signature in bold pencil at the bottom of his original 1946 day player agreement with Samuel Goldwyn Mayer for his appearance in The Hellmsman. In good condition, with minor age-related wear. Burly, menacing, Ethan Laidlaw was the quintessential western film, serial and television show heavy. His forays into other genres included the horror and sci-fi films King Kong (1933), Murders in the Zoo (1933), The Body Snatcher (1945), and Invasion U.S.A. (1952); Joan of Arc (1948); The Greatest Show on Earth (1952); and Alias Jesse James (1959).
